Search engine Bing French version is already active

VIVAnews - Microsoft signed an agreement that allows search engines to index its collection of digital books on the French national library.

In the agreement, Bing can do a search on the 1.25 million books and documents. Including manuscripts by Moliere, literature, drama writers in the 1600s and newspapers published in the 19th century.

The agreement is a non-exclusive agreement. That is, the search service provider may sign a similar agreement to access the database. But, still, the move would boost the Bing who is preparing the official launch them in a particular region of Europe, in the months ahead.

As quoted from Hexus, October 21, 2010, although the search engine Bing French version is already active, in fact it is only a search engine Live Search, which changed its skin.

That is, Bing French language currently does not have a "decision engine" that has mengatrol Bing popularity in the United States and Britain. Microsoft itself is working on for the feature is available in other European regions.

Currently, Microsoft faced difficulties when trying to penetrate the European continent dominated by Google. Although the software giant had managed to compete with Google in the United States and cut Google's market share in Britain, in Europe Microsoft has a bad record.

Getting the right of access to historical data collections like those of the French national library would generate significant traffic. In addition, Microsoft also have an opportunity to get another positive impact of the ad.
