Techology Network Operation GSM and HSPA from Teklomsel

PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia or Telkomsel recently to expand their broadband network to 25 cities in Indonesia. Finally, these operators have to upgrade their GSM mobile network to HSPA in Palangkaraya capable of supporting up to 21Mbps data transmission speed.

However, according to Dedi Suherman, General Manager of Network Operation Telkomsel Regional Kalimantan, talk talk broadband is not racing.

"Bandwidth 20Mbps, 40Mbps, and so on, why?" Dedi said in a statement in Jakarta, Monday, October 4, 2010. "Which is more important than broadband data services is whenever and wherever needed, the service can be used."

In the world of broadband, Dedi resume, apply the theory of 10:90. "Ten percent of broadband users consume up to 90 percent of network bandwidth," Dedi said. "Users like this that make broadband service becomes unusable to other users when they need it."

For that, according to Dedi, Telekomunikasi Indonesia has been using the technology end to end QoS (Quality of Service). "The goal is to ensure that users pay for services with a particular tariff can enjoy the service with quality as the paid," he said.

"Users who pay for premium service rates to Rp1, 5 million, for example, would get better quality than those who pay 125 thousand per month," said Dedi. "For them, there should be differences in throughput."

By using QoS, Dedi explained, customers who only use mobile broadband to spend the bandwidth downloading or doing a hobby, can be managed better.
